Have a Happy International Socialist Workers Day!

Or Soviet May Day Parade! Or Illegal Immigration Rationalization Day! Or whatever they're calling it nowadays. After all, what's in a name? That which we call a path to citizenship, by any other word would still smell like amnesty.

All snarky kidding aside, I don't see the logic of trying to "close cities". This is either going to fizzle or it's going to succeed in disrupting peoples' lives. And if it succeeds in disrupting peoples' lives it will just convince that many more people that the time has come to draw the line.

I guess the silver lining is that if they do succeed in shutting down some cities, people will use less gasoline.

Hmmm. Isn't this a lot like the guy who broke into your house refusing to empty your trash? What's in a name? Ask the fools who choose to use the term "Undocumented Immigrants" as opposed to "Illegals", "trespassers", or other accurately descriptive terms.

From time to time I like to repost my rant regarding these trespassers, so, some of you may have read this before.

As I drove through town the other day, I saw "For Sale" signs, "For Rent" signs, "Closed" signs, and a few "No Trespassing" signs. With all of this communication going on, however, not once did I see a an "Illegal Entry Welcome" sign. Oddly enough, it appeared that every home and business I passed seemed to have a lockable front door.

How interesting it is, when it comes to our little staked out corner of the world, that we each take prudent measure to protect that which we consider ours. How sad it is that champions of "undocumented immigrants" seem to draw that line of protectiveness at their own front doors, while insisting that the doors to our country be left unlocked. It is almost as though they believe they have the right to decide for the rest of us, that which is worthy of protection, and that which is not. In fact, I challenge anyone who advocates for open borders, to first remove the locks from their own doors.

This is MY house.

It is a privilege to live and work in this country. Some of us are born with it while others must earn it. It is a privilege nonetheless. Allowing others to just come in and take it is shameful and irresponsible of the gift we have been given. It is our solemn responsibility to protect and preserve our way of life for our children and theirs. Anyone who thinks we should just give it away, should be willing to trade places with anyone they think deserves it more than they do.

This is MY house.

Anyone tempted to puff out their chest, trot out their "America is great because of Immigrants" speech and start waving their Ellis Island tourist pennant, must first acknowledge the difference between that proud heritage and illegal immigration. If you truly believe there is no difference, then you have no place in an intelligent discussion on the issue.

This is MY house

Our soldiers did not fight for their country so that the ungrateful few could make the blessing of citizenship meaningless. So wave your flag, play the bigot card; rant all you want. This is OUR house, and you dare not give it away.
