It's Not Like he Shot Somebody!

I have to ask, isn't it a big story when a Member of Congress is involved in a one-car accident that appears like it might involve alcohol? Why do we have to wait 20 hours before we even see a written statement? Plus, why do we only hear about it in a boutique publication like Roll Call, because a cop leaked, rather than from the Vice President himself... I mean, rather than Mister Kennedy himself?

Well, I'm sure David Gregory and the rest of the press corps will really GRILL Scott McClellan... darn it, I mean Patrick Kennedy... when he finally talks to them.

So -- you don't like it when the press corp grills the Veep about shooting someone, but you want them to do it with Kennedy?
I’m wondering why everyone is surprised that someone rich and powerful gets away with shit. Hello? Clinton got away with perjury, Bush II got away with drunk driving, etc.
Wake the f. up. Rich people do whatever they want. God Bless America!

tmcd, Bush II, as you call him did not get away with drunk driving or you wouldn't know about it. The Kennedy's seem to never be taken to task.
Poor Congressman Kennedy just had a wreck 2 weeks ago while driving impaired and was given a pass.
Lets all just wait and see if he "kills" someone before he is stopped from driving.

Killing someone didn't keep Teddy from driving...
