I wrote the other day that Corzine's irresponsible use of emergency lights was endangering other motorists. Now it becomes even more apparent:
The SUV carrying Gov. Jon S. Corzine was traveling about 91 mph moments before it crashed, Superintendent of State Police Col. Rick Fuentes said Tuesday.
The governor was critically injured when the vehicle crashed into a guardrail on the Garden State Parkway just north of Atlantic City last week. He apparently was not wearing his seat belt as he rode in the front passenger's seat.
The speed limit along that stretch of the parkway is 65 mph.

The media, like the Democratic establishment in New Jersey are staying politely on the porch, not asking any hard questions about Gov. Corzine using emergency lights and speeding routinely in order to attend the Imus apology fest into which the governor had inserted himself.
I'm sure former Gov. Janklow of South Dakota is kicking himself for not getting in touch with Gov. Corzine to learn about how best to deal with proles who don't know enough to get out of the way when somebody more important comes down a public highway.
Fun math fact: the collision occurred approximately 6:00 p.m. 87 miles away from the governor's mansion at which the Imus grovelling was scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
Corzine was proposing to average 90 mph the whole way merely in order to be photographed attending a meeting which did not directly involve him in any way.
