The President is reportedly going to amp up the volume on enforcement Monday night, but stop short of endorsing the wall. The goal is to push Congress for action promptly. That jives closely with what I guessed, although Andrew McCarthy may have the best answer. Meanwhile, the Washington Post looks at the problems.
In the meantime, Captain Ed points to a Democratic study suggesting that the party can benefit politically by getting to the right of the President on immigration. And if my grandmother had wheels she'd be a wagon. Neither one is all that likely.
